๐Ÿ“ฆ What's in the Box? (5 Packets)

You will receive 5 full-sized packets of premium Sweet Pea seeds:

  • ๐Ÿฆข Swan Lake: The essential pure white. A classic 'Spencer' type with large, deeply ruffled blooms. Essential for wedding bouquets.
  • ๐ŸŒน Winston Churchill: A bold, velvet crimson-red. Vigorous and outstandingly scented, it adds a punch of rich colour to any arrangement.
  • ๐Ÿ’œ Leamington: A stunning clear lavender-lilac. Produces huge, wavy flowers on long stems that are perfect for cutting.
  • ๐ŸŒธ Edith Flanagan: A soft, romantic bicolour with creamy-pink standards and deeper rose-pink wings.
  • ๐ŸŒŒ Starry Night: The drama queen. A moody mix of deep maroon-purple and dark navy-blue. Incredible depth of colour.

๐ŸŒฟ Understanding the Plant

Sweet Peas (*Lathyrus odoratus*) are Hardy Annuals.

They are climbers that use tendrils to cling to supports. They are famous for being "cut-and-come-again" flowersโ€”the more you pick them, the more they grow!

Top Tip: Sweet Peas have long roots. To get the best plants, sow them into deep "root trainer" pots or toilet roll tubes to give the roots plenty of room to grow downwards before planting out.

๐ŸŒฑ Growing Guide: How to Sow and Grow

When to Sow:
Autumn (Oct-Nov): For the biggest, earliest plants. Overwinter them in a cold frame or unheated greenhouse.
Spring (Jan-April): For a reliable summer display. Sow indoors and plant out once the frost has passed.

Where to Sow:
Plant out in a sunny spot with rich, fertile soil. Dig in plenty of manure before plantingโ€”Sweet Peas are hungry plants!

Care While Growing:
Pinch: When seedlings have 3-4 pairs of leaves, pinch out the top tip to encourage bushy side shoots.
Tie In: Help them find their supports (canes/trellis) as they start to climb.
Pick: Once they flower, pick every single day. If they set seed pods, they will stop blooming!
